Our Vision
As nonpartisan community leaders, we strive to be well-informed and actively engaged in collective solutions that address community concerns, fears or needs resulting from local, state and federal policy change. We envision a vibrant community that is inclusive and equitable - where trust, safety, health, well-being, education and empowerment is fostered and is a shared responsibility for all members.
Our Mission
Mobilize community leaders to collectively advocate for the needs of vulnerable populations throughout Napa County.
Guiding Principles
Values
We apply an equity, diversity and inclusion lens to all of our work in each issue area.
All members share responsibility to foster trust, safety, health, well-being, education, and empowerment in our collective work.
All members are active and engaged - attending meetings, leading or serving on committees, and showing up for advocacy efforts.
We work collaboratively because we are stronger and smarter when we work together. We are strategic, non-partisan, solution-focused, and relationship-based.
We build social and political capital by strengthening the network and capacity of leaders in agencies/organizations and community members.
We involve the community in the design of solutions by fostering connections and supporting all community members in a having a voice, in particular the traditionally marginalized and underrepresented.
Approach
We represent all of Napa County, with active participation by representatives from Up Valley, Napa and American Canyon.
We are an issue-focused coalition working at the local level on county, regional state and federal issues.
To take action, we do our research, consulting those with expertise, being realistic about time and resources, reaching consensus on strategy, and acting in alignment.
We do not duplicate efforts, instead leveraging existing efforts to maximize resources.
Our planning and action cycles keep us nimble, focus our efforts, and allow members to opt in and commit to issues they care most about.
